I'm sorry, but ... Could you break that down to one or two simple questions? You have requested an essay of about 200 pages. ok i believe these are the operations... (if wrong correct me) Facing Center Drilling Turning Between Centers Boring Reaming Tapering Recessing, Grooving, & Parting Knurling Threading are there any dificulties or problems we might face in each?? or where exactly may we have problems merci

Well, yes those are a few of the operations performed on a lathe, but there are many more. Plus, there is no order to perform them in, just as there are more than one kind of project to machine, any of which would require a different order of performing operations and a different list of operations to be performed. If you must have a really basic order it would be: Hogging Roughing Finishing To show that the list goes on .. and on ... add these off the top of my head: Drilling Gun drilling Rifileing Burnishing Rolling Grinding Upsetting Flaring Work hardening Flanging Balancing Truing Crank case cutting Cam cutting Tracing Forming ..... .... .. . and the list goes on As an example, I assure you, it takes 10 to 12 years of many various project machining to become a reasonably good engine lathe operator.
