does anyone know how to calculate the longitudinal strength of carbon-fiber epoxy matrix? |

Try looking up similar materials in Matweb. They usually quote standard test values. Make sure you know the orientation and % of carbon fibre as this will impact greatly on material properties. ie, pay attention to the grain of the material, if applicable. If the material has a grain, then two strengths will be quoted: Parallel to grain yield and perpendicular to grain yield (like wood). Hope this helps. Paul. |

You being a little vague, you want to know the modulus of elasticity or what?
