I'm thinking of using one of these to vary the ratios on pulleys for aweight lifting device. Is it possible to buy a small version of one of these off the shelf or the components to make one? Alternatively is there another easy/quick way of changing the force applied to a pulley system to lift a weight? (I'm assuming that adding/removing pulleys is a bit time consuming). Thanks. |

Have you considered figuring a way to use the recently available automatic bicycle transmissions? The worst suggestion of your lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them. |
