Dear All,
This is my first post on this forum.we are facing a problem of conveyor tripping frequently.we checked it`s motor found to be ok.checked it`s drive roller & driven roller, found little misaligned, adjusted the same, but tripping haven`t stopped.motor draws a current of 1.5amps.(Setting on MPCB is 0.8amps)
motor rating is as follows:3~motor BN 63 B 4 230/400-50 IP 55 CLF B5
Motor power : 0.18 Kw/ 1320 rpm
Degree of protection: 55
Insulation class : F
No of poles 4
Flange mounted
Conveyor is a inclined conveyor nearly 4mts in length. It carries plastic components.
What could be the problem? What I need to check?
Should I go for a higher hp motor?

Thanks for the suggestions.I will check the details and will reply.
As for the friction on rollers,we have already checked that.Outside all rollers rotates smoothly, when moved by hand.Bearings, also moves without any problem.
System is old[5 years old]

What is the weight of the load and the incline angle and the speed of the conveyor belt? Then we can figure out what size motor you need? You don't simply go to another motor on any other basis.

Inclination is 45 degrees.Length of conveyor is 6.7 metres.load on conveyor 10 kg(maximum).RPM of conveyor is 30. As we have again started the conveyor from last night,we haven`t yet encountered the problem, one thing we did while doing it`s overhaul was to cover the grip rollers with a PVC sheet to prevent any chance of entangling the components into it.We are watching the situation as of now. But,please suggest if the motor choosen is ok or not?

I need the linear speed of the conveyor or how the motor shaft connects to the conveyor or perhaps a sketch of the drive.

Motor shaft connects through a gear box of Bonfiglioli make to the conveyor`s drive roller.

If the installation is new, then I would check the motor size vs duty. If this is a old installation, it has to be the motor, the tripping circuit or new friction (load) has been introduced into the system. Check the resitance to rolling, bearings ets.
