Can anyone help me with a formula to replace a screw with an hydraulic clamp. I would like to know what tonnage clamp I need to replace the force exerted by a 1" whitworth 8TPI bolt tightened to 220 ft/lbs. A formula would be terrific. Thanks |

220*2*pi=F*1/8*1/12
F=220*8*12/6.28=3363 lbs |
