I am trying to analyze a flat plate that is secured on all 4 sides with a uniformally distributed load. The plate is 6' x 8' with a loading of 13.6psf. I'm looking to find the forces developed in the framing members by this loading so I can size the supports. Just looking for equations or where i can find the equations, don't need the actual answers. Thanks for the help! Matt |

Roark's Formulas for Stress & Strain is where you want to look. Ask the engineers you know or get one from Amazon, Ebay, etc. It'll have the one you're looking for plus much more. |
