I am looking for a 4 point lift on a beam and the resultant deflection formula. I have end supported, two point mid supported, but I can't find four point supports. Can someone help me with this formula? Thanks, Cliff |

For these supports, I assume they divide into 3 equal spans, all loaded equally. If so you might try: Support A.= Ra=0.400 wl (left end reaction)
Hope it works for you. Thanks, Scooter |

Follow up to my last: You wanted info. on Defelection. Here is what AISC has on it. Def.Max= (0.446l from A or d)=1.0069 wl(4)/EI Thanks, Scooter |

Thanks Scooter, I'll give that a whirl!
Actually, my beam supports are L/8 from ends and then two more equally spaced between those. I am looking for a formula similar to 5wL^4/384EI for a simple supported beam. Any help would be great. Thanks, Cliff |

Sorry Cliff, I can't find any in my books with multi-supports where the first & last are NOT at the ends. Scooter |
