as you will see from my post i need a great lot of assistance.
Basically i have a weight to lift of 80kg. I have to design and calculate the required forces to be able to do this. The frame is of basic design and can change to improve efficiency. I was suggesting making all the frame peices out of 2" x 2" hollow bar. The cross section would probably be on pivots so the frame could be dismantled by using split pins etc. if anybody could give me advice on all the required calculations, design, ideas, generally everything It would be very much appreciated. contact me on here or my mail address loonytoony1@hotmail.com.
