In both cases handle carefully. In both cases you can not handle the shaft with your bare hands. The liquid is more dangerous because it can be spilled onto your body or a body part of someone else's body. Both will freeze skin and flesh to death, the liquid nitrogen will do so more quickly and to a deeper more harmful extent. Both will result in a freeze fit small shaft. The liquid can be kept in a thermos container for a while, the dry ice will not last as long. The liquid nitrogen can be delivered in a container and you can usually have it put on a delivery schedule. The liquid nitrogen would be safer if it is locked up to prevent serious injury from those not fully understanding the danger, therefore tampering or playing it with causing you to be responsible for harm done to others. The worst suggestion of your lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them.
