What is the BC of rotating disc w/wo shaft to simulate in Ansys for static analysis? Thanx. |

The BC of a rotating disk are raletively simple to formulate.
the outer boundary - which is free from tractions as well as free from displacements - shouldn't have any defined BC. The inner boundary depends on the disk relations to its enviroment. If it is assabled on a shaft, then you should express its axisymmetric stress. What is a little more challanging is the formulation of the forces acting on the domain - specificaly centriptal force wich depends on the material mass density and radius.
