I was looking at the equations for calculating the force of belleville springs given on this site:
/belleville_spring.htm It looks like the equation for Force(F) may have an error. It yields a force that is LARGER than that given by the equation Fmax. Also the first diagram shown on that page looks to be using the wrong symbol for the spring ID. just thought I'd let somebody know. |

Can you share your specific case / calculations Brian? Fmax is the force at the maximum spring deflection and limit deflection. One can calculate a force with unrealistic values - ie deflections which not possible for F (Force). |
