I'm an ME student curious if an induction sensor could be used to accurately (+/-.0005) locate the edge of a conducting material and also if a type of sensor existed which could be used for the same purpose for non-conducting materials such as stone and ceramics. Thanks for any help. |

See /instrumentation/instrumentation_table_content.htm and, I would search the internet for position sensors and ask suppliers. |
