ISO Certification is about consistency in practice. Your company decides to what extent your QA conducts inspection of parts. The fundamental issue is how consistent are your company personnel doing what the rules(your company rules) set out to be done? As the other responder said, there must be prove that these rules are observed. |

ISO certification is about having company-wide standard procedure and processes in place. Consistancy, organization and effective controls is what the ISO certifies. Your company can choose any process you like with regards to dimensioned parts, engineering drawing, and QA procedures regarding purchased parts. As long as the procedures are documented, consistant, and practiced by all company personnel. |
