I am looking to calculate the shearing force on a pin. The pin is in double shear and is being used to connect an hydraulic ram to a lever. Specificaly i am looking to calculate the size that the pin must be and also the material grade, EN1-EN8-EN16.... The ram will have a maximum load of 30 tonnes.
