Dear all,

A Potassium Aluminum Fluoride flux is applied to an aluminum item which is then brazed by making it pass through a furnace. Lately though we have been noticing that black spots appear at different points. What could be the reason for this?

Best regards,

Kamran

My instant reaction is that the product, flux, or heat source is not clean ... or.... one of the above is impure.

Next reaction is to the color "black", the color of carbon which makes one wonder if the heat is higher.

Else, no ideas.
