I'm just new to this job and I'm seeking for help on the design of Timing Pulley. Is there anybody who can give me a lecture or share a link regarding this matter? Hope somebody could help me!

One great place to start learning about timing pulleys is by having a hard look at a few brands of the modern compound bow. ..unless you are meaning cogg pulleys... that is an entirely different matter... A cogged pulley simply needs to be the diameter that works out for the number of teeth at what pitch belt you intend to fit at the width accordingly. At least one pulley per pair needs to contain side rails to keep the belt from running off the sides. Timing is maintained by the relationships of quantity of teeth on the driven and driving sprocket pulleys. One of the best ways to maintain tension is to have an adjustable positioned idle take-up roller on the smooth side of the belt in the slack running side from the driver pulley. ..I don't know how much you already know, perhaps that is a start, or do you need more technical data? ..if so, you can get good tech data from the catalogs provided by the makers of these drive train items. You can usually get the catalogs simply by asking at a bearing supply or industrial supply store. The catalogs are put there by the makers for you to ask for. The worst suggestion of your lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them. thanks for your response! I already selected a pair of pulley that I will use. The next thing is to know the kind of belt. I just want to know if BELT LENGHT AND BELT PITCH LENGHT are just the same? In computing the belt lenght which diameter will I consider, the Pitch Diameter or just the diameter of the pulley. This is the formula: L = 2C + 1.57(D+d) + (D-d)^2/4C Regards
