I would like to create some inexpensive aggregate storage bins set on a concrete floor within a warehouse. I would like them to be between 15' and 30' high. How do I determine how high I can safely stack concrete blocks (4'x4'x2', 1.2tn) or sea containers (8'x8'x20', 2.5tn - but they could be filled to gain addt'l weight and/or be braced by anchored angle iron)? I assume I need the product density (between 40lb/sqft and 100lb/sqft) as well as some measure of cohesion, but where do I go from there? |
