Could you provide some of the job discription? It may be a good earily job experience to work in the business end. Sometimes the business end has better pay climbs.. you need to know more. I am wondering if they want a mechanical engineer in the buisness end because typical business degree professionals don't understand the engineering aspects of the buisness and need someone to represent them in buisness decisions. Also this would be someone who works for the buisness department without prejustice to the engineering department. A job is a job, and you could always leave or apply to an engineering opening posted within the ranks of the company. Remember, most companies post jobs within the company before they post outside by policy. I would ask about this possibility in such a way that it does not clue your interviewer that you may abandon them soon for a position in the engineering department. The worst suggestion of your lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them. |

thank u sir. thank u very much for ur reply.
respected sir They told me after the selection abt the job that i will be posted as a business consultant who job is to sale or reach the targets given by the company. i am giving the description what exactly they explained me. he told that some two or three people will work under me and they will also be given with same targets and i have to manage their targets and that is my responsibility of their targets along with my target. this is exactly what they said sir. and one more thing sir. they are introducing a new venture of passenger radial tubeless tyres. for that they are recruiting. this is the exactly what they told me.and one more thing sir they are asking me a bond for three years compulsory and about bond breakage they told that the breakage amount will depend on the job or oppurtunity secured by me which is the reason to leave their company. plese advice me wht should i do? Actually it is an off campus interview and don't know abt the job before. they asked to apply only for mechanical engineering graduates and i thought that they are calling for engineering posts and i attended that. After selection only i came to know the job profile completely. this is the situation i faced sir.he also told that the job is 80% techno service and 20% sales.please give me your valuable advice. By tomorrow i have to decide sir.please i am waiting for ur reply sir. please consider my request with kind enough.

It sounds like a fancy sales engineers position. You seem like a very bright person that would be a great asset to ANY company as a Mechanical Engineer. DO NOT BE PRESSURED into taking any job. You are incharge of your own destiny...My opinion..pass on this one and wait for the 12 other positions waiting for you. I hope I'm not out of line....Good Luck!!! Marky |

I feel red flaggs.. and don't like the three year bond. I'd pass on the job, if it were me. The worst suggestion of your lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them. |
