Need a little help on pipe thread size. I have to run air into a port on a japanese robot but I am confused by the size of the port on the spec sheet. It says that the port sizes are "D4, PT 1/8" and "D6, PT 1/4". I believe that the D4 and D6 are the pipe diameters in millimeters within the robot, but I don't know what the PT means. From trying an NPT fitting, I have found that the port isn't NPT. Could it be BSPT or perhaps something else that I am unfamiliar with? Is there a standard that is used on japanese products? Thanks for the help. |

D4, and D6 , are NOMINAL way of naming 1/8" and 1/4" pipe , and as far as I know Japan use BSPT standard. |
