Hi all, sorry for coming to you with what may be a trivial problem but my group and I seem to lack some creativity :( Our object for our senior design class is to select a non-trivial design and analysis problem. It must relate to an existing physical product consisting of multiple compopnents. We must develop a functional model of the product and supporting behavior models of one of the key components. From there, we must recommend design changes to the existing model. CAD anaylsis will be used, it can't be easy hand calculations. I was wondering if you guys could say whether my ideas so far are any good, or if you have any that come to mind you could throw in. I'm sorry again to come to all of you, just thought this would be a good resource to use. So far we have: A Printer

Another idea we had was a basketball hoop. Analyzing both the hoop, the backboard, the pole or mounting brackets that could be used to mount to a garage and such. Perhaps the stresses on a remote control car could also be done..though it may be too complicated for a half semester's worth of time. |
