I'll be starting a new job next week. I've been with the same company ever since my graduation. Can anybody give me some tips on how to get up to speed at my new job (it a job that's related to manufacturing processes & design)? |

Until you are well aquainted with the job and scope do exactly what you are told to the best of your ability. ..but .. be sure you understand the assignment correctly, do not take off with new-bee energy doing a great job on a project that performs the wrong function. The worst suggestion of your lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them. |

Good suggestions, Marky. Also remember to document everything you do. Phone calls, product requests, design changes... keep a running logsheet of everything you do including contact names, email and phone numbers and dates. Good luck in the new position.
