I am currently working on a project researching and designing industrial convection and IR ovens for the curing and drying of both liquid and powder paint (with conveyor). Does anyone know of any useful articles on this subject, particularly the design aspect...thank you |

Ovens of this type are common and are made by many manufacturers. conveyorized (belt ) ovens often use Teflon (PTFE) coated fiberglass belts. The belts are open mesh to allow air to circulate. heat source can be forced (circulating) hot air, infrared or UV or a combination.
PTFE / fiberglass belts will take up to 500 F . These belts are not typically used to support the product during the actual painting process. The product is placed on the belt after the finish is applied. |

Your most valuable resource will be the manufacturers and vendors currently in the field. Do some research there, talk to their applications folks, read their literature. You'll learn stuff. |
