You have stepped into the ream of a PE. Since this dock
(these docks) will have people on them, you will either have
to design it yourself or pay a PE to design and certify
the design with his state PE number. No engineer can
safely advise you or recommend a design or material size,
unless he/she is a PE, without stepping into an ethics and
liable situation. ... sorry, but this is the way the laws are.
... PE = public engineer = state tested and reg. to do
public engineering.
Also .. please be advised, if you design it and it fails
or someone is ever injured (or even drowns) you are in
a very bad position with their lawer. .. BE V E R Y CAREFUL!!
