I´m a mechanical eng student and I´m doing a project of a speed reducer with the following data:
-input power 5.5 kw at 1500 rpm
-two horizontal output shafts aligned with 200 rpm and 300 rpms conter rotating
-horizontal input
I´ve calculated all the ratios but i´m having problems with the number of teeth required for each set of gears.
The ratios are the following:
from input to the 300 rpm output
1/1.8 cone gears
1/1.63 cylindrical gears
1/1.63 cylindrical gears
from input to 200 rpm output
1/1.8 cone gears
1/4
Any coments will be welcome.
Best regards
Pedro Lobo
