I am trying to find an extremely fine thread for fastening a thin tube to an end cap. The tube is about 1.5 inch in diameter, and is very thin in diameter. Another engineer told me about sealing threads, but I have not been able to find any information. These threads are meant to support load, not pressure. Thanks,

Can you assemble the parts without threads? Press fit, welding (seam or laser), bonding are other possibilities. Modified by Kelly Bramble at Tue, Jun 02, 2009, 10:18:15 |

Brian....I've used microscope type threads before. Very fine treads for lens etc.. Honestly....If you have a good machineshop. They'll make anything you want. |
