Guys- A while ago, I saw some simplified formulae for calculating radial and axial stiffness of a variety of rolling element bearings published in a design magazine. The equations included bore, number of balls, contact angle, and preload. They covered angular contact, deep groove, and tapered roller bearings. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find these equations anymore. Does anyone here have them, or know where I can find them (or similar equations)? I've got an FEA guy champing at the bit for bearing stiffness numbers from me! Cheers, Mark
