I am new to injection molding, but trying to design a plastic part.  Can anyone give me a ballpark of what kind of yield strengths I might expect from molded plastic?  I realize it depends on the material, but I would like it to be as high as possible.  I'm open to anything, whether it be thermoformed, thermoset, injection molded, or whatever.  Thanks for your help.

I did a search here on Engineers Edge and found a bunch of information /plastic/materials_common_plastic.htm such as Young's Modulus, Poisson's ratio, ultimate shear etc...

Also there is some general design and manufacturing related information here /plastic_design_menu.shtml .
