50ft beam... 6000lbs center load... modulus is 29,000,000.... mom of inertia is 850in^4... connected by simple pin on each end
how much will it deflect? |

hi you didn't mention anything about the beam properties-say if it is concrete,steel....? |

The material isn't important because he gave all the variables you need to calculate. Based on the modulus though, it is steel. To answer the question... deflection=PL^3/48EI, so the answer is 1.1 inches. |
