Hi to all , Can anyone help me identify the appropriate chemical that I can use in removing /reducing silica in cooling water other than by water distillation or demineralization ? Most silica scale inhibitors have operating range of 300ppm SiO2 in the recirculating water. Our make up water has 100 ppm SiO2. Thnx. |

Kurita has a product that is used as side stream filtration of your cooling water that makes Si(OH)4 and permits to handle silica above 500 ppm. You may also look for other options such as new RO membranes or electrocoagulation. What is the make up flow of your cooling system? Horacio Nelson |
