Need your help plz , i'm designing a mechanism which is using a power screw in it .
so my problem now i want to know how to calculte the diameter of the my power screw if the Load on it = 200 Kg and the length of the power screw is 1.50 M , can anyone please tell me the formula to calculte this problem .

A power screw shall be consider a enveloped wedge .
Its heigth will be 1,50 meter , is't lenght is what do you have to state. Guess yo use a 3 mm pitch screw , you will need to turn it 500 turns. The wedge lenght will be the screw mean diameter * PI * 500 So if the screw is PULLING the load , any 3 mm pitch screw will do it.
