I am looking for an answer to the following question: How is the production cost of a precision screw related to the pitch (t.p.i.) of the screw (assuming that the diameter is constant)? Could any body please comment on this. thanks |

My only idea is that a finer thread when precision cut takes longer to make the passes. On the other hand the coarse thread requires more depth to be cut. I'm thinking it may be a moot point. my two cents...
