Please to introduce my self. I am Martinus Luckyanto, from Indonesia. In this forum, i would like to ask about SCF. In the Offshore Structural, like Fixed Jacket Platform, all of you know about SCF in bracing tubular member. Its related with In-Plane Bending, Out of Bending and Axial characteristic. But, type of bracing are many kind. In API RP2A (WSD) Standard Code, any of bracing could define by automathically. Like X, K, T, Y, KT brace type. I asking : How to define the SCF for brace with type of Z or N in Jacket Tubular Member ? Thanks a lot.

Do you have a copy of RP-2A? If so, look at the section on connections. I assume that when you say Z or N you mean the brace is a diagonal between two horizontals or verticals. You must look at the local connection to determine what it is, not the whole member. Is that what you're talking about? If not, could you explain yourself more clearly? |
