would anyone know what type of heat exchanger on uses when transferring heat to a pressurized flowing gas, such that there are minimum losses?

it's pressure?
initial temp?
end temp?
flow?
which fluid to carry out the heat?

air entering at 300K to be heated to 350K
at 75psig
..heated by water.

Hi all,

Added to above,
depending on the velocity of the flow, calculate Reynold number.Then calculate the Nussle number using the proper co-relation from the data book. Findout h and then U- overall heat transfer co-efficient. Finally getting Q from Q = U*A*dt
