can any one help me how to determine
(i) max load for a stainless steel table size: 1500mm x 750mm tickness: 5mm (plate) (ii)Load style: distribution |

In your case there is two chance of failures.
1. The legs may buckle 2. The top plate may bent. By considering the leg as column with one end fixed & one end free we can calculate max load. In the other case the top plate can consider as simply supported beam with distributed load and maximum load can be calculated. Any way the legs and plate can be stiffened by providing cross members so that it can carry more load. |

Not a major problem, However, we need to know more info.,ie,
what are the properties & dimentions of the "LEGS", and how many as well as where located. The legs could be the weakest part of your table, also they need to establish the reaction points, etc. Thanks, Scooter |
