Hi there,
(I'm a newbie here) I'm having trouble in designing a c-wrench (see attached pic).
The reactions are assumed to be at the circled points, whereas the only forces acting on it are taken as a worst case scenario (at the very end - arrow). How can the reactions at both points be calculated since it's not a straight beam but rather an arc. Also at the tip of the hook is a tooth or key which fits into the slotted brackets. A quick run through reaction calculations would be greatly appreciated. Also a pin could be placed half-way through the arc. How could the pic alter the stresses and forces?
