I have a design with a RV style AC unit being installed on a black van. Problem is the ac unit is not cooling the van.
Does anyone have a method for calculating the heat input (btu/hr) for a vehicle on a typical sunny day? |

Check for the diference between in and ot coming air , if it is more than 18° F or near , the AC unit is working well but is small for the use you want.

What is the BTU rating of the unit? What is the output temperature from the evaporator whjile running? Be sure your van is properly sealed... |
