What is the parts selaing configuration? Does it ride against a rotating shaft? Static? |

i believe it's a floating labyrinth seal, with baffles. i'm not sure, i have a manual, but it covers several types. we are coming down tonite, and having a rep come in to help us figure it out. the rep has said that it might take a few trys before it will seal. i think that's unaceptable. we have already had a fire in our exciter because of the oil leaking. do you have a machine with this type of seal, and have you had any trouble with it. thanks |

Have you had success with your seal?
Have you ever heard rumbling from the turning gear? |
