Dear all, Currently, I am looking into a system for compressed air system. I am running into trouble for the calculation of air holding time.
I have 3 units of compressor running at 3400Nm3/hr each.
When there is a power failure, it will take 40sec for the compressor to start up and supply from emergency power.
Can anyone help me? Best regards

What's a Nm3, an m3 at ibar?
If so, you take the 20m3 and multiply by 9.5 to get the volume at 1 bar and therefore the depletion time is 20*9.5/2000*3600seconds=342 seconds which is much greater than your required 40sec. So I say you are OK if my assumumption is right. |
