Gear Shifting pattern in bikes | |||

Chiefs..
Because in most of the bikes I am seeing any of the following pattern 1 down 4 up, 4 down, 4up,
Why it can't be standardized with any of the pattern?

Vijay, I'm pretty sure that getting all the competing companies, engineers, and designers together and getting them to agree is unlikely. Most of the time, engineers and designers don't agree on a design approach amongst the same company. There would have to be legislation in place to control or standardize the requirement, or a standard be the only logical choice. |
