Andy,I completely agree with the other poster. The theoryis that the nut will back off easier than the bolt,however we all know full well that some actions inconnections tend to worm the bolt out first. So while the nut stands firm the bolt twists loose. It seemsodd we never decided to put a star lock under both. Of course this is why we spec for safety wire at times.In fact I have a location under the hood on an enginemodification that keeps working loose, as stated above, ...... I need to safety wire that location, dauh....I'd like to hear additional comments. -randy-
