I am presently using Autodesk Inventor in my designs. One of my company's main functions is tube bending for our products. Inventor has many tools, one of which is the 'properties' of a finished model, in this case a 1" dia. tube with several bends. Inventor gives the volume of this solid model, but not the "straight length". Volume divided by the cross section of the tubing should result in the straight length before bending, but is inaccurate. Is there a chart or calculator available for this task? I do not find one on the main site.
