Dear,
I am so worried about a problem of your gas compressor - G3608 Now, i have 4 machine. Three machines usually have unstable speed. They usually change speed suddenly. I observe this problem occur cyclically. Now, the other inform 106-01 flashing. I tested air&fuel pressure module, turbocharge, actuators. But it run a moment then shutdown with 106-01 I get these problems after somewhere in plant is thunderstuck. Please help me soon! |

Was this post intended for a Caterpillar fourm? It sounds like you need a more stabilized electrical service and increased surge protection improvements in the supply to the control boards. Where I work, we have similar problems with our machines (not Caterpillar)in some foreign countries where the power is not stable. The changes in current and voltages tend to effect the speed processing in the control boards. Also, locations where the power is not well controled tend to have spikes and surges, especially in thunder storms. In these locations we recommend taking steps to stabilize the power supply. We also find similar problems where customers are providing their own power via generators. The worst suggestion of your lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them. Can you say more about which your machine, engine controller is?
And about your error! |

Our machines are not engines with controlers. However, motor speed controls all are quite similar these days in that they use various methods of voltage dividers to determine motor speed calibration along with encoders and resolvers. These systems don't like fluctuations in supply vlotages. Modern diesels use electronic/computer controled injection systems to control motor performance. A monotor placed on the supply will record any fluctions in the electrical system to see if it matches with the times of the problems. From that data you can deduct if your problem is caused by the supply current. Additionally, spikes in the supply voltages can damage small electronic components and result in controler problems. The worst suggestion of your lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them.
