What are the effects of increasing or decreasing the fuel pressure before injection pump.Fuel is diesel and each cylinder has its own injection pump fuel to injection pump is delivered by the booster pump.???????????????? |

first, if you are getting enough fuel to maintain RPM for generation you are not going to help by increasing fuel pressure. The governor will just reduce the twist of the rack and reduce the volumn of the atomized fuel to the chambers to correct for RPM. second, by increasing the boost to the unit injectors you could eaisly blow the tips off the unit injectors as they are cam driven and the fuel in them is going to go somewhere... they are designed to run at the proper factory boost. third, if your boost pressure is low, you need to replace the boost pump... you do need enough boost pressure.... but not more. The worst suggestion of your lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them. |
