Description:

This sheet shows the output frequency of the NE566 function generator chip for various standard values of R and C. Note that the frequency depends upon R and C, as well as the control voltage V at pin 5, and the power supply voltage V+. V (currently set at 13V) and V+ (currently set at 15V) can be changed to any desired legal values and the sheet recalculated. Keep in mind that the NE566 requires R to lie between 2K and 20K, V between 0.75V+ and V+, and V+ between +12V and +24V. The maximum frequency output is 1MHz.

The 4.7 m F and 0.001 m F caps help stabilize the supply and control voltages respectively, and don't enter into the calculations. Neither do the two 10K pull-down resistors.
