QQ-N-290 Nickel can be deposited soft or hard - dull or bright, hardness can range from 150 - 500 Vickers. Can be similar to stainless steel in color, or can be a dull gray or light gray (almost white) color. Corrosion resistance is a function of thickness. Has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, and is magnetic. Class 1 For corrosion protection. With typical 0.0002" copper undercoating prior to the nickel plate. Grade A .0016" min.
