Toggle clamps are used for manufacturing work piece holding.

Toggle clamps off an effective solution where quick and economical clamping or positioning is required. Toggle clamps work according to the knee-lever principle and can be operated with very little expenditure of force. Self-locking is guaranteed when the dead center position (alignment of the three joints) is exceeded. Toggle clamps are an optimal clamping solution in drilling, welding, grinding and inspection fixtures etc. In the timber industry extreme deformations are avoided by using toggle clamps when bonding or assembling fragile sheets as the clamping force is controllable
